Chicago-based duo Videobug has been writing and recording since last year. Synth-lady Linda Malonis of Speck Mountain and Patrick Driscoll, drummer of Get Up with the Get Downs bind dreamy escapism with dense rhythmic textures to tell the story of two gutter-freaks with their eyes on stardust. Their self-titled cassette (released by new Chicago tape label Electrical Signals) combines their love of sample-based electronic music, synthesizers, afrobeat, trip hop, outer space and really super adorable kitties.
